The Pull! [1.15.25]

In a world where Wednesday is the best day of the week, there is reason to keep going, the reason? NEW COMIC BOOK DAY! Let’s get into The Pull!

Last week we ended with Marvel so this week let’s start with them!

Marvel’s Ultimate universe is 1 year old! Happy Birthday! On this birthday we are given a new comic series as a present! Ultimate Wolverine #1 is the start of a new series set in the Ultimate universe but who is Wolverine in this universe? They are actually the Winter Soldier in this universe?! We need to know more!

Let’s continue with Wolverine! This time it’s Laura Kinny: Wolverine #2, all I can say is Wolverine vs Daredevil, you know it’s going to be good!

That’s it for Marvel this week, let’s walk ourselves down to the indie corner now!

First off is Image Comics!

One of the standout comics of last year was Feral and it’s still going on strong with Feral #9 coming out this week, there is a lot that is going for this series and it always manages to tug at my heart strings. If you haven’t picked up this series, you should!

The next comic on The Pull! is The Horizon Experiment: Finders/Keepers #1, a really interesting take on Indiana Jones, steal from the museums and deliver the artifacts back to where they belong!

DSTLRY is up next, I should say if you don’t read DSTLRY comics they will surprise you, they are bigger than regular comics but just as good! This week we are introduced to another offering from writer Scott Snyder and iconic horror artist JOCK, comes You Won’t Feel a Thing #1, a new murder mystery that fans of Zodiac, Memento and True Detective will want to read!

Last stop on The Pull! is DC Comics!

Just because the Absolute universe is doing awesome things doesn’t mean the regular DC universe is falling behind! Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum #1 is a One-Shot special that will define the Green Lantern Corps going forward setting up the stage for future stories to be told!

The last comic today is The New Gods #2, the first issue of this series set up a very interesting premises, a new god is being born and Orion has been told to kill it before it is grown but Orion has asked Mr. Miracle to save the child before Orion finds them. Mr. Miracle is stuck between living his life or jumping back into the craziness that comes with being a god.

That’s it for The Pull! this week, I hope at least one of these recommendations is up your alley! If not let me know what I should be on the lookout for next week!
