The Pull! [4.2.25]

We are back at it again with The Pull! Your weekly post highlighting some of the comics coming out this week!

Let’s start off with DC Comics this week, and I can’t think of another title I am more excited about this week than Absolute Green Lantern #1 the last of the Absolute solo line for now! Just like other Absolute titles, this puts a spin on the Green Lantern Mythos. Hal, Guy and John are all here, but they take on a different role because it seems the Green Lantern for this book is a new comer, but do they have what it takes to be a hero in the Absolute Universe? I hope so.

From Marvel this week, I had a couple of choices, All New Venom #5, we finally find out who is the Venom host, which if you haven’t seen the leaks and the official posts itself…well I will let you discover that on your own. I want to talk about Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #1, it feels like this is going to be Daredevils version of Old Man Logan which I can really get behind. Matt needs a good book and I am hoping this is it but the $7 price tag is hefty. I can only hope that the story makes it worth it.

From Image this week, I was able to get an early digital copy of I was a Fashion School Serial Killer #1, I feel like the title really does give away the gist of the book and the tone of the book. It is both dark and funny in it’s own way which is always a fun way to handle murders.

Last comic of the week comes from IDW Publishing, Godzilla: Heist #2, now the first issue was good, some set-up as to how our crew even thought of using Godzilla as a distraction to do a heist. This issue, Godzilla has landed in London and now they got to antagonize him to go a certain way across the city, hopefully they don’t get crushed on the way.

That is, it for The Pull! this week! A short week but hey we all need some smaller pulls every once in a while! Going forward, The FOC list will be coming out on Friday nights so you can go pre order new comics over the weekend! Another reason to visit your local shop on the weekend!
