Goodbye Campaign One

It's been exactly a year since Critical Role's first season ended and we said goodbye to the wonderful characters of Vox Machina we all grew to love. The Critter community have been showering the cast, and each other with memories, artwork, and inspiring messages. I am always impressed by this community's close knit ties and acceptance towards everyone. It's crazy to think that this community is centered around a Dungeons and Dragons role playing game that a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors sit around and play every week. I don't think anyone could have predicted the enormous impact that Critical Role would have on the online community. It's grown so much in the three years since they started streaming, from small stream on Twitch to it's own media empire that can host live shows to thousands of raving fans. It's amazing how far the show has come and how far they can still take us on this wonderful journey. The cast is one of the nicest and most genuine group of people. The guest stars that have been in Campaign 1, Campaign 2, and the many one-shots have all shared in the love and excitement of the show. And many, like Sumalee Montano, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and Khary Payton have become avid Critters just like the rest of us.

Thanks for the Memories

I think its safe to say that we all miss Vox Machina and those amazing adventures from Campaign 1. I've never had a show, let alone a D&D RPG stream, that could make me laugh, or cry, or love as much as Critical Role has over the years. The stories and adventures we went on  with Vox Machina will stay in our hearts and minds for far longer than I could have imagined. It feels like we've traveled step by step with Vox Machina all over Exandria. Experiencing every hurt, every fear, and every victory that they have. I've gained so many new friends because of D&D and Critical Role. It's a real pleasure to be a part of such an amazing community. I can't wait to experience all the fantastic new adventures that The Mighty Nein will take us on as we remember Vox Machina's exodus. It's days like today when I can almost feel the giant hug the Critter community is wrapped up in. Thank you Pike for being our light in dark places, Keyleth for being the compass that's always true, Grog for teaching us to be a loyal friend. Thank you to Percy and Vex for showing us how to love unexpectedly, and laugh in the face of danger. Thank you Scanlan for teaching us how to sing our hearts out (and all the sparkly blue poop jokes), and to Vax for teaching us how to grieve, and give your whole live to a cause you believe in. And finally to Matthew Mercer, who has given us all a friendship and community that is more like a family, for letting us be swept away by incredible stories in a world that feels so real, and for always being there for us when we need it.  This has been one hell of a ride and there's and endless road ahead. As our illustrious DM always says, Be kind and remember to love each other!
