Takeover [Hands On Impressions]

Takeover is a game about women with swords, loud music, and robots lining up to die. Players will select their character, go into a battle arena, and fight. That's it. The game is a laggy, buggy mess along with an atrocious camera. Takeover does not support controllers, and to be completely honest, it doesn't need controller support as you can just spam the shift key, and your character will teleport to every enemy on screen and kill them.

If players decide to “actually” play the game and not just mash the shift key, the left and right mouse clicks are used to fight. However, just like the shift key, the character automatically attacks enemies, leaving the player just spamming mouse clicks and the camera spinning like a Beyblade until everything is dead. The description for this game says, “Takeover is a fast-paced hack and slash game,” and in its current build, it's not just fast-paced, players will miss the entire game. This spammy blur of a mess requires more time for development, and luckily, for this game, it's in early access, so improvements will come.
