Silicon Valley Comic Con Spotlight: Legion M

By: ZeloOmega

The inaugural Silicon Valley Comic Con allowed vendors, artists, comic fans, entertainers, companies, and people from all over to converge on the San Jose Convention Center and share their love and interest in everything comic and tech related. In the midst of all the excitement we got the chance to speak with Jeff Annison and Paul Scanlan of Legion M, the world's first fan-owned entertainment company. What is "fan-owned?" Just as it sounds. Unlike backing something on Kickstarter or other services that allow you to "back" and "support" a company's product, Legion M allows fans to own a piece of the company thanks to new SEC regulations. That's right, this time instead of simply being on the sidelines in Hollywood, you can get in on the action.

The benefits of this are amazing. By being a part of this, you not only get the inside scoop on what Legion M and their partners are creating, you'll be invited to shareholder-only meetings with cast and crew, you'll get the opportunity to vote on aspects of what is being created, and you can make money from this all too! You're buying a part of the company stock after all. Unlike publicly traded companies whose share is majorly owned by corporate investors, Legion M will be owned by fans from the very beginning. They have partnered with high tier Hollywood creator studios Stoopid Buddy Stoodios (home to Robot Chicken), Meltdown Comics, and Animal Repair Shop to help support in their endeavors in bringing quality entertainment to the company.[robo-gallery id="19064"]Interested? Salivating at the chance to get in on the fun? Legion M has made the process incredibly simple. Visit the site and reserve your spot at no upfront cost. By reserving your spot you will be informed of when the company is ready to start taking money and at that point you can choose whether or not you wish to invest. Simply reserving a spot is absolutely no risk, you'll receive all the information you need up front to make your investment decision. Legion M is providing a revolutionary way for fans to get in on investing in new entertainment avenues and opportunities. We also can't forget the amazing booth their displayed at Silicon Valley Comic Con. Walking in through the front doors you find their hot red '59 Cadillac, Marylin, the company car. Prime parking spot right on the floor of the San Jose Convention Center, adorned with the Legion M logo and plastered with signatures from all the big name stars on the roof of it. Their booth spotted an incredible walking Winnebago, we're not kidding. It must have stood 10 feet tall and moved. They had stop motion animators working on a short right on the convention floor and you could take a look at it as it was being animated. It was certainly a booth that you had to check out.[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GcJOT8LzPvY"]Paul Scanlan and Jeff Annison pioneered media on your mobile phones with MobiTV in 1999, and now they want to take you on a new, revolutionary journey into creating entertainment with Legion M.
