Silicon Valley Comic Con Spotlight: Michael J Fox Foundation
By: ZeloOmegaWho doesn't love Back to the Future? Who doesn't love Michael J Fox? Who doesn't love the classic time traveling DeLorean? How many people have actually been able to sit inside of the DeLorean? Well we had that opportunity, and the chance to speak with Terry Holler of To the Future. Terry and Oliver Holler travel across the United States with their custom 1982 DeLorean that is a spitting image of the one right from the movies. They do this to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research through Team Fox, and boy is it a hit. We were looking at the line for photographs and it wrapped around their booth, this was no small booth mind you, it had to fit the DeLorean and Marty's McFly's 4x4 Toyota Pickup, also did I mention that the backdrop of the booth was the clock tower from Back to the Future? Amazing! What brought them to Silicon Valley Comic Con anyway? A personal invitation from Steven Wozniak himself! For a small donation (with all donations going to the Michael J Fox Foundation) you could take your picture next to the DeLorean, inside the DeLorean, or while riding the hoverboard, and I'm not talking about a silly wheeled device that you stand on, this was an actual hoverboard next to the car![robo-gallery id="19157"]Terry and Oliver have traveled a lot to promote the Michael J Fox Foundation and entertain audiences. First of all, the car is completely street legal, imagine the looks they get driving that down the road! They've driven over 634,000 miles through all 50 states. That's not all though, besides the US they have also driven through Japan, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina, a truly world wide experience for them and fans of the movies.
