Put On A Brave Face! March 2018 Loot Anime Unboxing

By: MithrandielAfter a couple months, I was surprised to get not one, but two Loot Anime boxes in pretty quick succession! Let's play catch-up and dive into this awesome March box, shall we?The box is pretty slim this month, but opening it up we can see why. Cracking it open, I'm greeted by one of the most recognizable entities in anime: the fearsome Eva Unit-01!A gorgeously designed shirt, this apparel item topples the recently distributed Psycho Pass shirt as my favorite. Purple is a good color on me, and the striking image of the Eva has put me on the receiving end on a handful of "Nice shirt!" comments. Tucked just underneath the shirt is a Seven Deadly Sins bag. Though the series isn't getting much love this season due to its delayed airing (thanks Netflix), fans will still appreciate this simple cloth bag for toting around...well...whatever they want I guess!Up next - a volume of manga that lends an official backstory to one of Fairy Tail's toughest dudes: Gajeel Redfox. Fans of the series will definitely enjoy this peek into Gajeel's history! As is tradition, there is a poster/box breakdown included as well. The poster this month is for Assassination Classroom, and is a great addition for any wall!Rounding out the box are a couple odds and ends: an Assassination Classroom lanyard (which is actually pretty sweet) and an Overlord pin.  So, let's give the box a quick once-over!A pretty solid assortment if I do say so myself, though the value is leaning heavily on the Evangelion shirt this month. Not that I mind that, since it is my new favorite. Initially I thought the lanyard was kind of a throwaway entry, but the more I looked at it and felt it the more I'm contemplating on using it at Anime Expo this year...The theme, "Brave", definitely had some tie-ins, but some of the items were a bit of a stretch. The box-art was interesting as well, tying in many of Evangelion's token phrases, including "Blood Type: Blue".Overall, a solid box! Hoping to see some more figures again soon - maybe we'll see more as we move into Summertime.Interested in subscribing to Loot Anime?
