Raheem Jarbo, more widely known as "Mega Ran", has enjoyed great success in the last few years as one of a handful of professional rappers who integrate 8-bit backbeats and lyrics inspired by the games Millennials grew up with. This genre, categorized as "Nerdcore", has grown a lot in the past few years, with Mega Ran as one of its central heralds. Mega Ran was kind enough to chat with me about how he got started, his relationship with Capcom, the honor of creating a track for Keiji Inafune's upcoming title Mighty No. 9, and more.
