Max Mustard [Review]

Max Mustard is one of the best VR experiences I have ever had on the PlayStation 5. While this game is clearly a clone of Astro Bot: Rescue Mission and the original Lucky's Tale for the Oculus Rift, its quality makes it seem fresh, with many minigames and gimmicks that really make this game stand out. It's hard to argue against this game being one of the best VR platformers ever made. With so many levels, 40 to be exact, I felt it had the right amount of variety to stay engaging and innovative. I greatly enjoyed my time playing Max Mustard and believe its visual style and inventive game ideas to be exceptional, making every level original and unique. I also found myself trying to 100% the game and wanted to collect every coin to upgrade my abilities at the shop. Personally, I never want to 100% any game as I usually only care about the core experience and story so I can be done and move on since my back log is so large. This game really made me want to keep playing it and prolong it as much as possible. I also thought the graphics were stunning on the PlayStation 5, but I wholeheartedly suggest trying this game whether you are on a PlayStation 5, PC, or Meta Quest; you are doing yourself a disservice by sleeping on this title.
