Voxile [First Impressions]
Voxile, a game that initially appeared to be a promising sandbox adventure game in the vain of Minecraft with quest elements, has unfortunately fallen short of expectations. Its voxel-style graphics are impressive and easy on the eyes, but the gameplay itself feels like a poor imitation of Roblox.
The game offers a variety of worlds to explore, but most quests within these worlds involve tedious fetch quests that require aimless wandering. The limitations on resource gathering and crafting in certain worlds further hinder the gameplay experience. Additionally, the multiplayer aspect feels like an afterthought, as only one player can obtain an item, leaving others defenseless. While Voxile presents itself as a game with choices, it ultimately feels very limited and disappointing. The lack of a world-building feature and the frustrating limitations on co-op gameplay detract from its potential. Overall, Voxile squanders its potential and fails to deliver a compelling gaming experience. Voxile is in early access and many things are subject to change and evolve over time. We will be playing this game more and more as updates are released and provide and updated article on changes along with an eventual review. Stay tuned!
