While not official, the announcement both excited and disappointed fans - eager to see the next season of One Punch Man , while also wondering why it was going to take over a year for the show to finally arrive.
There were memes abound, and after VIZ revealed that an important announcement regarding One Punch Man was going to be released today, the rumor mill started working into a frenzy regarding what it could be.
Well, the day has arrived, and here it is - the OFFICIAL One Punch Man season 2 announcement:
Turns out, the wait won't be as long as we thought! While we didn't get an animated preview, it appears as though season 2 (arriving April 2019) will revolve around the introduction of Garou - a fearsome martial artist who once trained under the legendary S-class hero Bang. With a unique sense of justice and a general distaste for heroes overall, Garou begins to hunt powerful heroes, all while another monster threat begins to emerge from the shadows.
So, mark your calendars One Punch Man fans! Winter 2019 - your bored savior returns!
