Undertale Creator Toby Fox Unveils "Deltarune" - Sequel? Prequel? Or Something Else...?

Undertale fans have been in a tizzy over the last 24 hours, as the official Twitter account of the cult-classic RPG alluded to a mystery project that would be landing in 24 hours.
This morning, we saw the reveal in question: a link to a new project tentatively titled "Deltarune". It provides two links to download the program in question, one for PC and one for MacOS.
Of course, it being 2018, the vast majority of interested users are browsing Twitter on their mobile devices, and so the ensuing replies were amusing as fans of the game pondered calling out sick to work/school/weddings to uncover this mystery project.
The Deltarune link requests that discussion of the game be postponed for 24 hours - and in the interest of respecting Mr. Fox's wishes, I'll refrain from sharing my thoughts on the game so far. I will just share a few screenshots from the opening moments as our protagonist and his mother drive through the town.
