Twitch Tuesday Spotlight: Classic Queen
By: MithrandielWelcome to our first "Twitch Tuesday" Spotlight! Every week (on Tuesdays, shocker) we'll be spotlighting a different content creator on Twitch, how they got started, what they do, and do our best to help expose you to more of the crazy and exciting world of Twitch streamers.I met a lot of great streamers at TwitchCon, and am excited to introduce you to as many as I can. So, without further adieu, let's meet our first spotlighted Twitch Streamer!
Twitch Handle - Classic_Queen
Channel Link - https://www.twitch.tv/classic_queen
What do you stream? - Variety - lately it's been a full playthrough of Dishonored plus the DLC. Will be streaming some Minecraft and then looking at some indie games
When do you stream? - Tues/Thursday afternoon into evening and Sat/Sun morning until afternoon
How long have you been streaming? - two years this November
What got you into streaming? - My roomie and I watched some Twitch streams and I felt that "Hey I can do that too" and just fired it up!
Which streamer do you look up to the most, and why? - All sorts to be honest. I love French Stallion's stream as his energy is amazing and inspiring. EpicDan is great as well plus SvalaGaming has great positive energy. I love Excessive Profanity as well. SO MANY and TOO many to name!
What's been your biggest challenge in creating and maintaining your Twitch Channel? - I haven't felt too many challenges. I did take some time off of streaming when I was in school but I was still active on Twitch and in my Discord which I think helped a lot. I just stream for fun and try not to take it too seriously which I think reflects on my stream which is nice.
For people just getting started with streaming, what advice would you give them? - Do not getting obsessed about the numbers. Have fun and get out to other channels and say hi. Get to know other streamers and find streamers you enjoy.
Favorite moment from your channel - I have a lot. Mostly playing with friends and oops moments that tend to happen. I've had a few great solo gaming moments as well. I try to highlight a lot of them because I think they help show the relaxed and funny stream that I tend to have.
Any upcoming events, last minute thoughts or pitches for possible new viewers - I'll be incorporating some of the things I learned at TwitchCon plus setting up GameWisp on my channel. I'll also be working on some channel rebranding and looking heavily into streaming new indie games. PLUS doing a "How long can I play Dishonored 2 for" stream when Dishonored 2 comes out.
