Tiny Garden [Review]

Tiny Garden is a relaxing zen-like farming simulation that provides users with a customizable miniature garden environment. The game offers a simple and accessible experience with its mouse-only controls and optional camera rotation.

Gameplay is straightforward: players grow crops and operate a hand crank for irrigation. Crops act as currency for buying additional crops, with costs increasing progressively. Crops can also be used to purchase decorative stickers and furniture to personalize the garden's container – a small, spherical toy reminiscent of a Tamagotchi or Digivice. Both the interior and exterior of the garden can be customized, including the color of the sky, offering players a high degree of control over their environment.

The core gameplay loop centers around crop cultivation, requiring strategic planning to acquire sufficient quantities of each crop to unlock the next tier. Certain crops alter the terrain, affecting which crops can be planted where. For example, berry bushes transform adjacent tiles into grassland, while cacti create mud when planted near water. This adds a layer of complexity to crop selection and placement. Overall, Tiny Garden is a captivating and enjoyable game that can provide hours of entertainment. Tiny Garden is available now on Steam.
