The Pull! [1/8/25]
It’s Wednesday my dudes, you know what that means, NEW COMIC BOOK DAY! Let’s get into it, we got tons of new #1s, ongoings and more this week!
Starting it off with DC this week cause why not!
Aquaman #1, Yes you read that right, Aquaman is getting his own solo series again after such a long time! I am excited to see what writer Jeremy Adams is cooking and you should be too!
Next up on DC, we have Batman Dark Patterns #2, it’s still really easy to up on in with this series and I recommend it! It plays more on Batman’s detective work and context clue solving alongside a new villain, the WOUND MAN, which isn’t the best name but still highly recommended!
Lastly for DC this week is Absolute Batman #4, this issue addresses this Bruce Wayne’s origins as he becomes the caped crusader! With special guest artist Gabriel Hernandez!

I think it’s safe to say a lot of grew up loving or knowing about Jim Henson and his works that such as Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal to say a few. Well this week you can pick up Jim Henson Presents #1! A new anthology series that gives us new tales of the worlds and characters he created!
Moving right along to Dynamite Comics we got two wildly different comics we want to highlight!
First off something for the younger ones in our lives, or maybe for you no judgement here! It’s Zootopia #1! A new series set after the original movie, where both Judy and Nick are on the scene of a sabotaged tech event and as they dig into it, they may find out there is something bigger might be happening!
Now I have never read a Green Hornet comic, being honest but I do know that the character has been around for almost 90 years which is crazy! What is even more crazy is that Green Hornet/Miss Fury #1 comes out this week! This was pushed back from Oct of 2024, let’s hope the extra time was worth it!
Image Comics is up next, and I feel like nowadays you can’t say Image comics without talking about talking about the current run of Transformers!
Transformers #16 to be exact, all I can say is Autobots vs Decepticons vs SPOILERS!
You know what else Image Comics is known for recently? It’s Ghost Machine line of comics and Geiger is always being brought up; this month we have Geiger #10 which is a crossover comic! Bringing in Junkyard Joe into the mix! Fans will love this!
Last but certainly not least, for Image is The Lucky Devils #1, what happens when to demons decide to start a rebellion in hell? What happens when they get to unwillingly humans to do it for them? Well, we are going to have to read to find out!
Our Last stop today is Marvel!
First off, its magic time! Magik #1 to be exact! The Dark Child has taken residence in the Alaskan wilderness which is bad news for the evil that is also trying to make its home there!
Another Femme Fatale debuting a new series this week is Elektra as Daredevil: Unleash Hell-Red Band #1 it seems that a lot of occult murders have been happening in Hell’s Kitchen and Daredevil is on the track to discover the truth behind everything!
Last week we highlighted the new What if? series that started and this week we can ask the question What if Galactus Transformed Gambit? I know the hulk was cool, but I think this one is cooler!
