It is NEW COMIC BOOK DAY!! It’s always fun to make it to Wednesday so we can check out some new comics! Also this friday 4/18/25 is Superman Day and if your LCS is partaking in the celebrations there will be free comics! I will bring those up at the end of the article!

First off let’s start off with Mad Cave Studios! Buried Long, Long Ago #1 is a fairy tale retelling of true events based off of Belle Gunness a woman who murdered a lot of men and took their money back in the early 1900s. This is series will not be for the squeamish I can imagine.

From Image Comics this week it’s Redcoat #11, I am still pretty new to the Ghost Machine universe that entails Redcoat, Geiger, Junkyard Joe and more, but I have always heard nothing but good things about these series and I feel confident in recommending this book even if you and me might be a little lost.

IDW Publishing coming up next with Mothra: Queen of Monsters #2, if you didn’t read the first issue then all I can say is you missed out on a very important event and now with issue #2, our protagonists have to go back in time to find a baby Mothra!

Let’s continue with the kaiju comics with Marvel this week. Godzilla vs Hulk #1! This series will be a set of six one shots and the first one is honestly a childhood dream come true. I am beyond excited to see how this comic ends!

Lastly DC Comics this week, we have Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38! This is the start of the We are Yesterday event, after finding out who ended up with Martian Manhunters powers from Absolute Power the super duo try to dig deeper into the issue only to be stopped by Gorilla Grodd!
