The Show Must Go On: A Recap of the Industry Panels and MIYAVI Concert at Anime Boston
By: EyeSpyeAlex
After taking some time to decompress and recharge my batteries, I am finally able to share my experience at Anime Boston this year! In short: I had an incredible time. The staff and volunteers really pulled out all the stops this year in terms of guests and industry headliners. In order to devote as many words as I can to every aspect of Anime Boston, this recap will cover the MIYAVI concert and the industry panels. Be sure to look out for my fan experience recap as well!
MIYAVI
Words cannot describe how amazing the MIYAVI concert was, but I'll give it my best shot. MIYAVI is an extremely energetic performer whose upbeat attitude is positively contagious. His music and stage presence compel you to get out of your seat and dance. The energy was palpable and I don't believe I've ever felt as hyped at a concert before in my life.
Anime Boston attendees were lucky to hear MIYAVI play some new tracks from his upcoming album, No Sleep Till Tokyo. This new album seems very introspective, and this is especially seen in his track Other Side. This album seems like it will be a way for MIYAVI to show his personal side to his fans at large.
Fans who want to see (and hear) MIYAVI's finger-slapping guitar solos can purchase tickets for his current tour, Samurai Sessions Volume 3. Check it out to see if he will be coming soon to a city near you!
