Impressions and Review

Within the first third of the episode, the terrorist plot is wrapped up. The bomb is disarmed. Keith initially gets away however Yor finally stops him with some of her what has to be superhuman strength.

Anya has decided to keep Mister Dog, but Loid has his reservations. Sylvia appears as a government agent to try to convince Anya to let them take the dog. Anya ultimately triumphs with a very convincing argument. I really like Sylvia as a secondary character, and really enjoy the interaction between her and Anya. We find out Sylvia had a daughter Anya’s age once upon a time. Knowing that the soft spot she has for the girl is not surprising.

The rest of the episode is very much Anya-centric and focuses on welcoming the dog into the house and giving him a name. Anya and Mister Dog, now renamed Bond are precious together. We see glimpses of Bond’s past life, which was full of trauma and abuse. Seeing him now loved made me tear up a bit. Bond is named for Anya’s favorite character Bondman, and if that’s not the cutest thing ever, well, I don’t know what to tell you. They even give him a little bowtie!

Overall, it’s more of a low-key episode, but it still has quite the emotional heft. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as the first two, but still found it a very enjoyable watch!

Some additional screenshots I didn't find a use for in the article.

The animation in the show is SO expressive.
