Shark Siege [Review]

Shark Siege - TOGETHER SURVIVAL is, well, it calls itself a game. But a game has to have a goal and means to get to that goal. Shark Siege is more like an experience and not a good one. You spawn in the water and swim around for a bit before being eaten by a shark and having all your progress taken from you. It was developed by Geekon and published by Midnight Games.

I already said what the game is. You spawn in and survive for around five minutes before dying to an (almost) unkillable enemy. You can swim to a boat and use that to travel. Eventually, the shark will destroy that, and then it's practically game over. The shark is relentless and attacks nonstop. Also, the shark kills you in one hit. The boat has a worktable but the boat's demise is inevitable, so you can't even use it for long. Not to mention, I don’t know why I’m even doing any of this. There's no goal but to survive as long as you can but the game makes me not want to survive.

The game’s Steam page mentions (as it’s required) that the game used AI to create assets. Even if you don’t care about how immoral AI is, it’s gross to use it to make something and then ask people to pay for it. And after playing Shark Siege, I wouldn’t be surprised if much more than a few assets were made with AI. The assets that aren’t AI were ripped from an already existing IP, like how the shark happens to screech exactly like Godzilla.

I wouldn’t recommend playing this game for free let alone purchasing it. Shark Siege is co-op   and unfortunately it's not even worth playing with other people. I don’t even want to give this game a score, it’s just bad.
