PAX West Spotlight: Tiny Bubbles

By: MithrandielThe PAX 10 lineup this year really ran the gamut: intense platformers, 4x strategy titles, RPGs with unique visual elements...and a puzzle game with a fascinating premise. Tiny Bubbles, designed and brought to life by Stuart Denman and the rest of the team at Pine Street Codeworks, takes a classic formula and turns it on its head by featuring surprisingly complex mechanic: popping bubbles.I had a chance to discuss this title at length with Mr. Denman. Take a look at some exclusive gameplay video as we discuss where this game came from, the difficulties of nailing down surface tension, and how animations involving popping bubbles are actually way harder than they appear.[arve url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk6lHRRqvDk" /]You can find more information on Tiny Bubbles at their website - check it out!
