Nintendo Flexes Its Indie Muscles Once Again With The Nindies Spring Showcase (Live Updates)

Nintendo has been making some serious strides in the indie game market since debuting its Nindies lineup. Today is another chapter in this beautiful story as the Spring showcase brings more titles to the handheld console.
Things kicked off with Cup Head being announced for the Switch. Launch date is April 18th!
Next up, they showcased Overland. A strategy game with randomly generated maps and characters set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Coming this fall.
My friend Pedro will be dropping onto the Switch in June. A run and gun title with insane action sequences, we had a chance to check out the title previously. A welcome addition!
Neo Cab, an intriguing title that combines investigation and dialogue elements, will be coming to the switch as well.
Timberline studios showcased Red Lantern, a game that spotlights a young woman's trial in completing the Iditarod. Visually striking, you're a musher working to navigate the Alaskan wilderness to make your way home. An intriguing survival title coming later this year.
Darkwood is a survival horror game with a top-down view. Procedurally generated, each playthrough will be unique. It arrives this May.
Katana Zero is a high-octane 2D action title that lands April 18th.
Double Fine productions premiered Rad - a 3D action/adventure title featuring a mutating protagonist in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It will be arriving this summer.
Creature in the Wellis a pinball-inspired action adventure title. It will be launching this summer.
Bloodroots, the frenzied action title that makes the world your weapon, lands on the Nintendo Switch this summer.
Pine is an open world, 3rd person action-adventure game that features 5 different races battling for supremacy. Coming to the Switch this August.

Ultra Bugs coming later this year as part of a platform featuring an indie game library that grows over time.
Swim Sanity (looks like Mega Man underwater) coming this summer!

The official game for Stranger Things, season 3, will be launching on July 4th. It will launch simultaneously with the new season. There will be a roster of 12 characters to choose from.
The final game showcased was Cadence of Hyrule - coming Spring 2019. A sequel to Crypt of the NecroDancer, featuring Link and Zelda!
