The Story
1001 Knights is a beautiful 3 volume Anthology Collection containing illustrations and short comics from over 250 prominent artists. The Collection highlights the qualities that a Knight must embody in its 3 books: Wisdom, Fellowship, and Courage. What sets 1001 Knights apart from the normal fighter tropes is their character which earns them the true title of Knight.Creative Director Annie Stoll states: “The knights in this anthology aren’t just your typical sword-and-shield wielders. They are people who protect their friends, children finding their own strengths, unlikely allies who create unbreakable partnerships, formidable villains and fearless defenders of all that is good.”1001 Knights boasts over 250 pages of jaw dropping art. Funding started Jan 27th and reached it's initial goal of $70,000 after just 48 hours. As of this article they have $150,000 pledged unlocking many upgrades to the Binding printing quality. With these upgrades, you are truly getting a quality print book for display.
The Pedigree
1001 Knights contains contributions from some very high profile artists and writers. Disney Concept artist Victoria Ying, who has been part of major releases such as Big Hero 6, Tangled, Frozen, and the Academy Award winning Paperman Short. Eisner Award winning author Ryan North of the Adventure Time Comic series. The Verdict

1001 Knights is a wonderfully constructed collection. This impressive set is something that I would be proud to display in my library. The prints they've released so far show how inspiring this collection will be to gaze through. Digital is a nice option for those who can't afford the tree edition, but you won't get the full effect through a screen. I had to have the full collection, $100 seems more than fair for a physical copy.Happy Funding!
