Gen Con 2018 - Kettou: The Samurai Reflex Game

By: IllusionIt's not easy to get grown men to forget they are in public and engage in a Samurai Battle in front of a crowd. Full of yells, groans, and battle ready poses, I witnessed two grown men do just that. In a packed hall at Gen Con 2018.Kettou is a 2-6 player party style reflex game by Table Forged games, where each player is a Samurai, and players battle each other using different Kendo based strikes. Cards are lined up in the middle of the table with each card having a different Kendo move shown. A random audio file generator, or a friend will then randomly read one of the card names. The first player to touch that card is the winner, and will get a bonus when the players then use dice to strike at each other. This game looks really neat, and I can see it being a complete show stopper at parties and other functions involving crowds. Stay tuned for a full review.
