Finding Frankie [Mini Review]
Finding Frankie is a parkour horror game reminiscent of Mirror's Edge, where your character is thrust into a deadly game show. You'll need to navigate obstacle courses while being chased by a relentless monster. Fall behind or make a misstep, and the monster will catch you. Stages also incorporate puzzles that must be solved to advance. The game's story is intriguing and the overall concept is inventive, but its "horror" elements aren't truly scary. The jump scares are well-executed and never feel excessive, but they don't create a genuinely terrifying atmosphere. The death animations quickly become repetitive and lose their impact.
Frustratingly, it's easy to get stuck in unintended areas. Trampolines and vents can launch you into broken areas, oftentimes forcing a restart of the stage. There isn’t a lot to say about this game but despite its shortcomings, Finding Frankie offers a thrilling experience keep in mind, don’t expect a remarkable experience. This game is fun but its a swimming pool wide and a glass of water deep. There’s not a lot here although with what’s offered it is incredibly fun be weary of the numerous glitches that can happen. I was a bit older when Poppy, FNAF and the other mascot games/characters came out but maybe I'm thinking of checking those games out too because of this one.
