Echos of the Plum Grove comes to Kickstarter
Yesterday, Echoes of the Plum Grove crossed my radar. I spent some time with the demo and it left a positive impression. It is another one of these wholesome cozy farming sims I love to play (especially on the Nintendo Switch).
The game offers a delightful combination of fresh ideas and familiar features. The gameplay combines elements of farming sim, legacy builder, and survival game to create an addictive mix. Run your farm, build a family, and try not to die too quickly.
Echoes of the Plum Valley take place in the 1700s, giving players a unique setting for these types of games. Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted a well-done colonial life sim, so this is exciting for me.
The devs made the choice to do the entire game in a style similar to the Paper Mario games. It works well. Honeywood is a vibrant place and its characters are expressive and adorable. I could see this alone making the game a popular choice for streaming, as it’s a joy for viewers to look at.
Echoes of the Plum Valley is being made by Freedom Games, a small indie studio. For more information about the game, follow @unwoundgames on X. For anyone wanting to try this out, there is a demo on Steam. The Kickstarter is live, and the first stretch goal has been reached. The project with be open to backers until December 4th, 2023.
