E3 2017 - Ubisoft Press Conference

By: AlanVThere weren’t too many surprises because Ubisoft leaks like a sieve. However, Ubisoft showed that their partnership with Nintendo will work out better than most expect it will. There was also still room for a surprise game or two.Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – Partnership between Ubisoft and Nintendo. You lead the characters around with a robot. The combat is tactical and turn based. It's a very nice looking visually speaking. It looks like they came together for a better game than anticipated. Coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 29, 2017.Assassins Creed Origins – It was previously shown during the Microsoft E3 press conference, so not much new. They bafflingly showed a gameplay demo on a monitor outside where the sun glare made it hard to see anything.The Crew 2 – Not sure how this one got a sequel, but it did. Opportunities for players to race by land, sea or air. It has some nice-looking environments. Coming in 2018.South Park Fractured But Whole – This game has suffered numerous delays, but it's still great to see it again because the first one was so solid. It perfectly encapsulates the look and feel of the show. Game is slated to come out on October 17, 2017 (hopefully).Transference – VR game that is made to mess with your mind. Spring 2018.Skull and Bones – Pirates! An expansion of the naval combat that first appeared in Assassins Creed. Can team up with friends and work together. On the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to tone from Sea of Thieves. Coming Fall 2018.Just Dance 2018 – You know, Just Dance. Coming October 2017.South Park Phone Destroyer – Mobile game coming October 2017.Starlink: Battle for Atlas – Sci-fi adventure that integrates toys to life. Players will be able to build and customize space ships that are placed on their controller. Coming Fall 2018.Steep – First expansion featuring Olympic competition coming December 2017.Far Cry 5 – This one drew a lot of furor from groups online because of its take on Christian extremism. Players will work alongside hired guns to reclaim town taken over by cult. All the mayhem that is expected from Far Cry franchise in an interesting setting.Beyond Good and Evil – AMAZING TRAILER. Out traveling through the solar system in a space ship! There was some legit money thrown at this. Prequel to the first game.
