Duckside [First Impressions]

Duckside is an early-access base-building survival game similar to Rust, where players are ducks in a PVP/PVE world. The task is to build, fight, and survive in this large, sometimes beautiful but overall ugly, harsh landscape with other ducks against humans or fight other ducks for land and resources. The ducks are equipped with guns and various other weapons that are unbecoming of a duck. Unfortunately, this game only stands out because you are playing as a duck, so its silly nature makes it amusing.

Once you get into the game, it very quickly becomes exactly what it is. A base-building survival game. It's just Ark Survival, Rust, and your general (insert game here). For about an hour, it was funny to fly around and use guns to fight others and gather various things to build a base, but the charm escaped relatively fast. I can see this game being a hit for many others, but for me, it's definitely a miss. Luckily, this game is in early access, so there's a chance it will get updates and many things added to the game to make it a more unique and robust experience.
