Junk Piles! Nostalgia Goggles! Trash! Wishlist Wednesday for May 29, 2024

Hey all! It's been a hot minute since I've done one of these posts. I've really missed doing them, and I am excited to be back at it. There's no better time than the present, so let's start checking out what to add to your wishlist this week!

My Time At Sandrock: Monster Whisper DLC

Release Date: 5/27/2024

Price: $6.99 USD

PC/Playstation 5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X/S/Nintendo Switch

I don't know too much about My Time at Sandrock. I am aware that it's a life/farming sim with positive reviews, but that’s it. I've neither played it nor the previous game, My Time at Portia.

That was, until this week. My Time at Sandrock dropped a monster-taming DLC, and it sold itself to me instantly. What can I say, it hit me in all my video game weakness spots.

While I would love to talk about how cool and wonderful the DLC is, but I can't because I just started the main story for the first time. I have a lot of tutorials and literal piles of junk to get through before I can build a monster army. Let me just say I’m looking forward to getting there with anticipation.

Meanwhile, WE do have a review of the DLC from someone who could play it HERE

SKALD: Against the Black Priory

Release Date: 05/30/2024

Price: TBD

PC

If you haven't seen the trailer yet for this game, I implore that you do. This is one of the games that I struggle to describe with words, because the best way to show how cool it is to point at the trailer and go “LOOK. LOOK.” SKALD: Against the Black Priory is a throwback to DOS-era RPGs, which happens to be the era I grew up playing. While the trailer doesn't show much gameplay, the art is gorgeous, full of character, and very nostalgic for me. I'm hoping to dive into the demo soon

Trash of the Titans

Release Date: 05/29/2024

Price: $8.99 USD

Play as trash animals defending your trash kingdom from other trash animals in this turn-based tactics game. This game is pure trash goodness in the most literal sense of the word. While it's still in early access, reviews say what's there is promising. There's a demo if you're on the fence. Most importantly, there's the option to play as possums. How could I not mention it?

And there we have it. I could talk about gaming stuff this week forever! But I'm also pressed for time this week, and if I list every little thing I'm excited about, this article will never be finished. So... a longer article next week? Let's hope.

Til next time
