Days - Episode 8 (Review)

By:AlanVMiss my review of episode 7? Check it out here! [yasr_multiset setid=11]Tsukushi and the rest of the Seiseki players have their eyes squarely on the final game of the tournament, but episode eight of Days is about how the team manages the time leading up to the big game.Studying film is an important part of game preparation, and Days takes this opportunity to showcase the skills of their opponents. The “spine” of their team, or the core group of players on the squad, is strong. Meanwhile, the rest of the players know that they have a certain role to fill and don’t lose focus of that. This makes them an incredibly balanced team, and a tough test for Seiseki.Days episode 8 Seiseki watching filmGetting mentally prepared for a game is a key to success for elite teams. The boys all have their own way of handling this part of their game, but are adamant that Tsukushi needs relax and regain some energy. He receives a series of text messages with encouraging words along with pleas to get his rest. It’s a nice way of showing how far he has come socially, from a kid who didn’t get any texts in middle school to where he is now.The most interesting part of this episode is a hint of a storyline regarding Jun. He seems more amped than usual for a game, and has a definite edge to his personality when speaking about the upcoming game. Not much more is revealed beyond that.Episode eight was light on content. It sets the stage for what’s to come, and what’s coming looks to be very entertaining.
