The First Crusader Kings DLC is OUT

Shhhh....it's the Princess of Previews. I'm supposed to return *next week* but I'm back a little early to talk about something near and dear to my heart.

Crusader Kings III finally received its first expansion on 02.08.2022. Namely The Royal Court, which promises some really fun and immersive features, such as seeing your king on the throne and holding court!

Finally, getting closer to the Castles experience I crave

There are also now artifacts in the game that can be commissioned for the throne room. I just hope Paradox decided to embrace the possibility for weird for these.

If they aren't weird like Dwarf Fortress, is it even a system worth having? Let's be honest.

Of biggest interest to me is the inclusion of a culture system, something I've always wanted. While I'm not sure what it'll entail, I look forward to diving in this weekend. Rest assured my kingdom will be a cultured kingdom and will only watch subbed anime.

Real talk though, I've always been a lover, not a fighter, and didn't like how combat was a key part of the game. Which yeah yeah, Crusader is in the title, what did I expect? BUT. Having a fleshed-out peaceful way to play the game will finally encourage me to do more than just dabble it in.

Crusader Kings III: Royal Court is available on Steam now.
