Summary

In this chapter, we finally get the name of the samurai that has been following Dora from afar and her name is Ginchiyo Yagyu. She's a very accomplished samurai, and apparently wants to be the very best at her position. Sure, it may seem that her passion may not just be to save the innocents - like Dora and Kusanagi - but it seems to be a happy benefit of her ruthless drive for advancement.

With this drive she convinces Dora and Kusanagi to partner up with her to protect the town - that is after she tested them first to see if they were worthy. Looks like they pass this time around and they agree to work together for their own ambitions.

Favorites:

Have I talked about how much I love Kusanagi? Because oh my gosh, I love that little mononoke. When they were so sad that the reason Dora was having a hard time because they kept being fed fancy foods? And they were just eating ramen and chips? They are so beautiful and considerate.

I also particularly enjoy that even though Dora seems to be cynical - he still would do anything to make sure that Kusanagi is happy. I think my favorite scene in this whole chapter was when Kusanagi didn't want to harm Ginchiyo and Dora was taken aback. It showed that even if the people around them treated them badly - they would not rely on "ends justifies the means" way of life.

Drawbacks:

It's not really a drawback per se - but I don't know how I feel about the fact that Ginchiyo wants to advance her career not because she's driven or anything. It seems there's another reason why she's driven and and that reason happens to be another person. I would really be sad if it's going to be another strong girl with a crush to impress.

Final Words:

We have one more quick trip with Doron Dororon, and I am so excited to see what the next chapter will bring. I have a feeling this will be part of my circulation of manga to look forward to in the future.
