Summary

This chapter pretty much picks up right after where the first one leaves off. Dora and Kusanagi, by the pier, whilst the lonely mononke tells their story to Dora. They eventually try to come up with ways to make sure that Kusanagi is well-hidden so that any samurais that come around would not harm the mononoke. During this though, who happens to come along but two very serious samurais! Thinking quickly unlikely duo make their exit to ensure that Kusanagi stays safe. As they walk away - they hear the same samurais being attacked - and with the help of Kusanagi's power - Dora was able to defeat the powerful monoke before the samurais suffer any further harm.

Realizing that even though he cannot be a samurai because of his lack of supernatural energy - with Kusanagi by his side - Dora can still fight against the evil mononoke and create miracles wherever they go.

Favorites:

Dora and Kusanagi have quickly climbed to become one of my favorite duos. I really do have a soft spot for strong characters with a heart of gold - and spirits or demons that people consider as bad being actually good. It's one of my favorite tropes - and Doron Dororon delivers in this area so much. Also, it really does help that my humor matches the humor of this series.

Drawbacks:

I wish there was more happening in the story at this point, though to be honest, it does seem to be moving a little bit faster. Also so far there haven't been any big fights that have lasted multiple chapters so, at this point, the favorites far outweigh the drawbacks.

Final Words:

Second chapter into this quick trip and I'm think I'm positive that this will be a trip worth taking. There are two more chapter reviews in this quick trip - but unless there are some radical differences in the next two chapters - this manga is definitely going to be added to my list of mangas to keep an eye out for.
