Summary

Doron Dororon tells the story of Dora Sasaki, a recent highschool graduate who wants nothing more but to fight against as strange monsters called Mononoke that kill and eat humans. Ever since he made a promise to his departed mother that this is what he wants to do, he has worked hard at achieving his goal. He soon finds out that though he is pretty strong physically, that he is unable to join the official forces that fight them because he does not have even a drop of the supernatural energy needed to vanquish the monsters.

But fate is not to be stopped, because Dora meets Kusanagi - a Mononoke that has never eaten a human because it want to create a world where no one ever gets hurt. With the help of the unusual Kusanagi - Dora gains the power he needs to defeat a rampaging Mononoke. Together they promise to work together to create a world where no one cries or gets hurt!

Favorites:

There are a couple of things that I already enjoy from the get go. The art itself is pretty good with the different Mononoke looking pretty creepy and powerful. The action is fast paced and the dialogue is hilarious. I personally enjoy the main characters so far as they're both super cute together. I love the gray area of not everything has to be black and white in this world - which I'm always a big fan of.

Drawbacks:

I don't know if I would honestly consider this as a drawback but it does remind me of both One Punch Man in that there's a test that Doron had to go through where it was said he didn't have what it takes to be a member of this elite team. It also reminds me a little bit of Bleach with the monsters and the destruction. But again, it may just be similarities that can easily be ignored as it is just starting.

Final Words:

I am definitely looking forward to seeing what this new world by Gen Oosuska would be like and I am excited to take this quick trip with you!
