The Pull! [2.29.25]
I feel like we were just here a couple of days ago, but you know what? I love being here because that means we can talk about new comics coming out this week!
I want to start off with Marvel again this week because there really are some exciting comics coming out this week from Marvel!
First off we have Aliens vs. Avengers #3! I know the wait between the issues is long but, the story so far has been fantastic and this issue, we get to find out which X-Men are left in this universe!
Up next from Marvel is Ultimate Wolverine #2, the first issue was really something and I was surprised by the twists and turns it had I am very interested to see where this issue takes us! Who is Wolverine going to kill this time?
Lastly for Marvel this week, I want to bring up Doom Academy #1, if you never gave Strange Academy a read, I do suggest it now that it is finished, Doom Academy is the new series/follow up to Strange Academy. With Doom now ruling the world he has brought the academy to Latveria and is planning to change how they learn.
Let’s skedaddle our way to Image Comics for the next couple of recommendations!
First off we have The Power Fantasy #6, this series has been hit after hit with each issue, and now we get to see if everyone dies or everyone lives this issue? I hope everyone lives cause otherwise we’d have no more Power Fantasy!
Next up is Deadly Tales of the Gunslinger Spawn #3, this series is how I have gotten into Spawn, it’s been bloody, messed up and overall, a good time with each issue. Can’t wait to see what Gunslinger gets caught up with in this issue.
BOOM, Boom Studios that is! Its Power Rangers Prime #4! Looks like Rita is potentially leveling out the playing field this issue and the VR Troopers have more to worry about!
From Power Rangers to what would be the underlings of the villain let’s talk about In Bloom #3, the body horror in this comic has been fantastic so far and it continues to deliver with this issue, our main protagonist has been exposed to the spores, unlocking their mind and memories, what will they learn? What will they become?
I want to talk about one IDW Publishing comic this week, that is Godzilla Heist #1, have you ever wanted to commit the perfect crime, but you needed the perfect distraction? Well, what if you could get Godzilla to be that perfect distraction? I love this concept can’t wait to see how this comic plays out.
Lastly let’s talk about DC Comics for the week! Now last year Zatanna had a great 5 issue limited series and now she is back with Zatanna #1, this time she is trying to hit the road, but a new foe has already put a wrench in her plans before they even start!
Up next is The New Gods #3, so far this series has expanded the deep lore of the outreaches of the DC universe, now this issue war starts, will this new god be the savior that is needed or the bringer of death for all?
Last up from DC this week is Batman/Superman World’s Finest #36, these comics are usually episodic in nature so you can pick them up whenever, this week it’s not only Batman and Superman but also Aquaman and Swamp thing all coming together to save the world! I just love the thought of this team up and wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention.
Now that we are finished with this week’s comics let’s take a look at comics from the future! All these comics will have upcoming FOC of Feb 24th! So go pre order them at your local comic shop!
First up we have the newest title from the absolute universe with Absolute Flash #1 this take on the Flash sees us with Wally West, no family, no mentor and no speed force? I have no idea how this poor kid will survive but I am curious!
Now for a crossover that no one was expecting but I am excited for is DC x Sonic the Hedgehog #1 Yup, the blue blur and friends are coming to the DC universe for the first time!
From Marvel I have to highlight Ultimate Spiderman #15, this comic is always guaranteed to be great and now we get introduced to the Ultimate Sandman!
From Image Comics, Bug Wars #2! After the ending of the first issue, what will Slade do in this new world he is in?
