Slot Shots Pinball Ultimate Edition [Review]
From alien invasions to Dracula’s lair, Slot Shots Pinball has plenty of environments to play on. What makes pinball fun is the vibrant and loud colors and sounds that come from the table bringing more excitement and joy to the goal of winning. At least that’s why I love pinball. I think Slot Shots Pinball Ultimate Edition, published by Pinblend Studios, does a great job of making me feel the same way an actual pinball table makes me feel. I love the different tables that are offered and the visuals that come with them. They’re all covered in fun and bright neon lights and each has a few unique elements that make them more than just reskins of pinball.
Some of the tables have extra visuals like Dracula’s lair having a bat stuck in the table or the alien-themed table having aliens appear. You can even get a better look at some of these visuals by using the zoom-in button or just waiting on the start screen. If you wait long enough the camera will start to take you around the board and show you all the cool details up close. Some have different game elements as well. A few extra bumpers in different places. And there’s an interesting mechanic that would be a bit difficult to replicate into a real-life pinball table. Some of the boards have a second lair underneath the action that you can see through a window. If you manage to knock the pinball down there you can get plenty of points.
That’s what pinball’s all about of course. There’s nothing special there, the game is to get points and then beat that score. You can upload your score to Steam, comparing your scores with other people who play the game. So, if you're all about getting a better score than your friends then I recommend utilizing that feature.
My favorite part of the game has to be the nudge buttons. To make the game feel more like an actual pinball table you actually have nudge buttons that allow you to shift the entire table up, left, or right. This game definitely does a good job of making it feel like an actual real-life pinball table. It makes me want to experience these tables in real life. One thing I will note! Any players with the ROG Ally or Steam Deck absolutely needs to grab this game! Slot Shots Pinball Ultimate Edition Is a fantastic hand held game and I personally cant imagine playing this game any other way.

Slot Shot Pinball is definitely the way to go if you would like a pinball collection game. In the end, it is just pinball but that’s all it needs to be. The game definitely deserves an 10/10.
