PAX West Interview: Dan Paladin/The Behemoth

In what seems like another life now, countless hours were spent by me and my friends crawling through the world of Castle Crashers. The 4-player mayhem of the game provided a couch co-op experience that was incredibly unique and endearing, and some 15 years later, the momentum from the success of that franchise has led to the creation of a new form of multiplayer madness: Alien Hominid Invasion.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Dan Paladin on day 3 of PAX West and talk through some of the challenges of creating the game, as well as lessons learned from Castle Crashers and other titles from The Behemoth’s catalogue.

Take a listen!
