RUSH!

This seemingly low-budget parkour game was developed and published by NOSTRA GAMES. This little game doesn’t have much to talk about. Because there is only one thing to do, and it’s in the name of the game! This game is one giant level with miscellaneous and random items that keep going up and up and up. You can suffer this course with 200 other players as well! Or you can stay in a lobby with friends and race against each other.

I can only imagine how chaotic a full lobby would be, with all the emoting and shoving you can do. I’m sure there are going to be people out there trying to push you off this junk-filled course. Don’t worry too much, though! This game has checkpoints. Around every major landmark is a checkpoint that you can teleport to after falling. It does add time to your clock that is always counting up, but frankly, I didn’t care that my timer was reaching around four hours by the time I was a quarter through the course. At least I think I got that far; the level is massive, and there is a progress meter on the right side of the screen. Even after reaching the sixth checkpoint, I was hardly an inch through the progress meter!

Now, the game isn’t perfect. Visually, it doesn’t look all that great; sometimes it can take more than thirty seconds to fall all the way to the ground, and the character customization could use some work. But, the game does exactly what it is supposed to be, and that’s what really matters. I’m happy about the small bit of customization there was, so I and the other players could at least differentiate from each other. RUSH: Run Up Super High focuses on what it needed to do, and that was to be a parkour game. It’s a great time-waster, and you can easily spend hours trying to climb all the way to the top, especially if playing with friends. I’m not the type of person to be frustrated at games like this, but if you are, I can assure you that this game can become quite frustrating. It’s similar to games like Getting Over It, and falling all the way down to the ground can be disheartening. Luckily, the checkpoint system makes it feel like this game prefers to be fun rather than frustrating. RUSH is currently available to play on Steam for 6.99.

P.S. To the developers: That Dance emote “Hip Hop” is the funniest thing I've seen in years! Thank you for the joy that it brought me and my colleagues!

This game gets a 10 because of how much time we put into it without even noticing how much time went by. The laughter and enjoyment we got from this game was astounding, and we were never bored or disappointed with our play-through. We look forward to customization options, Maybe new content, modes, and maps! Maybe even console releases? The sky is literally the limit. 10/10 may seem ridiculous, but this is a testament to how much we loved this game.
